This 12-day journey blends the heart of Mongolia’s central landscapes with the mystical realm of the Tsaatan reindeer herders. Traverse the rolling steppes, explore ancient monasteries, and venture into the remote taiga, where the Tsaatan people live in harmony with their reindeer.

What's Included in Your Adventure
- Driver and tour assistant: Reliable and professional driver and English-speaking local tour guide who also cooks will assist you to make your adventure tour around Mongolia in reality.
- Accommodation: You usually stay in extra ger which is prepared by nomads, sometimes at (selected days) tourist ger camp.
- Food: You will have a lunch as original Mongolian food in the finest local restaurants on the way and the breakfast and dinner are cooked by the tour guide. Vegetarians are welcome. Drinks provide 1.5 liters of mineral water per day.

ITINERARY
Day 1
- Morning: After breakfast, continue the journey toward Amarbayasgalant Monastery, one of the most beautiful and historically significant Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia.
- Midday: Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before arriving at the monastery.
- Afternoon: Explore the stunning architecture and intricate details of the monastery, which dates back to the 18th century. Learn about its historical and religious significance, and take in the peaceful surroundings of this remote spiritual retreat.
- Evening: Enjoy a traditional Mongolian dinner prepared by the guide, then rest for the night in a peaceful setting.
Day 2
- Morning: Depart from your current location and begin the drive toward Khutag Ondor, a small yet charming village surrounded by rolling hills and wide-open landscapes.
- Midday: Stop at a local restaurant for lunch and take in the peaceful countryside atmosphere.
- Afternoon: Explore the rural life of Khutag Ondor, interacting with local families and enjoying the untouched beauty of the Mongolian steppe.
- Evening: Settle into your ger accommodation and enjoy a homemade dinner prepared by the guide before resting under the starry Mongolian sky.
Day 3
Arrive in Murun, the capital of Khuvsgul Province and the last major town before entering the wilderness.
Obtain the pre-ordered border permit, a requirement for visiting the remote taiga region.
Take time to stock up on any last-minute supplies before heading deeper into the wild.
Day 4
Morning: Begin your horse trek around the stunning Khovsgol Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning mountain views.
Daytime: Ride through lush forests, expansive grasslands, and enjoy the pristine beauty of the Blue Pearl of Mongolia.
- Visit a reindeer herding community and learn about their unique nomadic lifestyle. Discover their traditions, culture, and the significance of reindeer to their way of life.
Evening: Arrive at Misheel Camp, your overnight accommodation near Khovsgol Lake, and relax in a cozy ger with shower facilities available.
- Enjoy a dinner prepared by your guide as you take in the stunning views of the lake.
Day 5
Begin an unforgettable horseback trek through Mongolia’s mystical taiga, following rugged mountain trails.
Ride for several hours, gradually reaching the isolated Tsaatan (Reindeer People) community.
Spend the afternoon settling in and learning about the nomadic reindeer herders' way of life.
Observe their daily routines, including tending to their reindeer, making traditional crafts, and preparing meals.
Overnight in a traditional teepee-style dwelling (orts) with the reindeer herder family.
Day 6
Morning: Bid farewell to the reindeer herder family and begin the return horse trek back to the base camp.
Follow the rugged trails through dense forests, rivers, and mountain passes, retracing the path taken on the journey up.
Stop along the way to rest, take photos, and enjoy the untouched wilderness of Mongolia’s northern taiga. Arrive back in Ulaan Uul village, where you’ll return the horses and rest after the long trek.

Day 7
Morning: Depart for Jankhai Village, where you’ll prepare for the exciting horse trek around Khovsgol Lake.
Midday: Stop at a local restaurant for lunch on your way.
Afternoon: Arrive in Jankhai Village, settle into your ger accommodation with shower facilities available, and get ready for the next day's adventure.
Evening: Enjoy a traditional dinner provided by the guide and rest for the night
Day 8
Morning: After breakfast, embark on a kayaking trip to Khusliin Khad, also known as Whispering Rock. This area is known for its serene beauty and the peaceful sound of the waves, making it a perfect place to unwind.
Daytime: Hike along the Khadan Hyasaa Trail, known for its stunning views of Khovsgol Lake and the surrounding landscapes. exploring the surrounding area.
Evening: Return to Misheel Ger Camp, your overnight accommodation near Khovsgol Lake, where you can rest and relax. Enjoy a traditional Mongolian dinner provided by your guide while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.
Day 9
Depart for Terkh White Lake, traveling through vast grasslands and volcanic landscapes. Arrive at the lake and check into your ger accommodation.
Take a short hike along the lake, exploring the unique lava rock formations and enjoying the tranquil scenery. Evening Relax at the ger camp, enjoy a warm dinner prepared by the guide, and experience the peaceful atmosphere under a star-filled sky.
Day 10
Morning: After breakfast, prepare for an exciting horseback riding trip to Khorgo Volcano. Meet your horse guide and set off on the journey. Ride through volcanic landscapes, open valleys, and rocky hills before reaching the base of the volcano. Hike to the crater of Khorgo Volcano, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
Explore fascinating lava caves and rock formations nearby. Ride back to the ger camp and enjoy a late lunch on the way .
Day 11
Highlights: Kharkhorin, a town with Soviet-era influences, and the site of Kharakhorum, the 13th-century capital of the Mongol Empire. Nearby is Erdene Zuu Monastery, one of Mongolia’s oldest and most significant Buddhist monasteries. Facilities for showering are available in Kharkhorin.
Exploration: Visit the monastery and explore the ancient ruins of Kharakhorum.
Historical Significance: Kharakhorum was the capital during the time of Genghis Khan and later his son, Ogedei Khan.
Day 12
After breakfast Begin your return journey to Ulaanbaatar, head towards journey back, reminiscing about the incredible experiences and memories made during your trip. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar in the late afternoon, and the tour concludes.
