- Accommodation: You usually stay in extra ger which is prepared by nomads, sometimes at (selected days) tourist ger camp.
- Food: You will have a lunch as original Mongolian food in the finest local restaurants on the way and the breakfast and dinner are cooked by the tour guide. Vegetarians are welcome. Drinks provide 1.5 liters of mineral water per day.

Day 1
Day 1: Drive to Blue Lake (Khukh Nuur)
- Distance & Duration: Approximately 6-7 hours drive from Ulaanbaatar (UB) to Blue Lake.
- Highlights:
- Khukh Nuur (Blue Lake) is located in a beautiful, remote area, surrounded by mountains and forests. The lake is calm and serene, offering a perfect spot for relaxation and nature walks. It is deeply symbolic in Mongolian culture, often associated with purity and the start of life.
- The surrounding area is great for hiking, bird-watching, and experiencing Mongolia's untouched natural beauty.
Day 2
- Distance & Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours drive to Baldanbereevin Monastery.
- Baldanbereevin Monastery: Located in the Khentii Mountains, this monastery is a significant Tibetan Buddhist center. The site is known for its spiritual importance and picturesque setting, offering a peaceful atmosphere for reflection and photography.
- Uglugchiin Kherem: An ancient Qidan city ruin, this historical site is part of the remnants of the Qidan empire, a powerful state during the 10th-12th centuries. The ruins are fascinating for history enthusiasts and provide insight into the medieval era of Mongolia.
Day 3
Distance & Duration: Roughly 6-7 hours drive to the national parks.
Dadal: The small town of Dadal holds immense historical significance as it is believed to be the birthplace of Chinggis Khan. One of the greatest leaders in history. This area is steeped in Mongolian lore and is an essential stop for history enthusiasts. Visit the Chinggis Khan monument and surrounding area to understand more about his early life and the legends surrounding his rise to power.
Day 4
- Distance & Duration: Roughly 6-7 hours drive to the national parks.
- Onon and Balj National Parks: The Onon River, along with Balj River, flows through lush valleys, forests, and steppe, creating a stunning landscape. The parks are home to diverse wildlife like deer, wolves, and various bird species. You can enjoy scenic drives, hikes, and even explore the historical heritage of the region.
- Camping or a homestay could be arranged here, offering a unique way to experience the natural beauty of this region.
Day 5
Distance & Duration: Around 5-6 hours drive.
Omnodelger Village: This village in the Khentii province is a charming rural settlement, where you'll get an authentic feel of Mongolian rural life. The area is surrounded by pastures and is an excellent spot for experiencing the nomadic culture of Mongolia.
Depending on the time of year, you might witness local herders with their livestock, such as horses, cows, and yaks.
You may also visit local families, enjoy a traditional meal, and experience the Mongolian hospitality.
Day 6
- Distance & Duration: Approximately 4-5 hours drive.
- Terelj National Park: A well-known destination, Terelj National Park offers incredible views with granite formations, alpine forests, and rivers. The park’s most famous attraction is Turtle Rock, which is a large rock formation that resembles a turtle’s shape, offering a great spot for photos.
- You can also explore Aryabal Monastery, a beautiful Buddhist site located atop a hill. It’s a peaceful place for meditation and reflection.

Day 7
- Distance & Duration: 1-2 hours drive to Tsonjin Boldog, then back to Ulaanbaatar.
- Tsonjin Boldog: This is where the giant statue of Chinggis Khan stands, overlooking the vast steppes. The statue, known as the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue, stands at 40 meters tall, making it the largest of its kind in the world. It's a great spot for photos and to learn more about the great emperor’s legacy.
- After visiting the statue, you’ll drive back to Ulaanbaatar (about 1-1.5 hours), where you can relax after your adventurous trip.
